The Aarti to the Holy Ganges river in Kashi is very divine. Every one who visits Kashi should never miss this Aarti. This Aarti can be seen either on the steps of the ghats of the river or from the boats floating on the river. This Aarti is performed twice a day - morning and evening. In the winter, the time is between 4.30 & 5.00 am and 6.00 & 6.45 pm in Dasvamethaghat and between 5.00 & 5.30 pm in Assighat. Better to go to the place half an hour earlier to the Ghat to view the Aarti. The bhajans, speech, music, the smoke from perfumes, the synchronized action of the seven priests doing the Aarti will take you to the divinity.

We took our parents to Pilgrimage.Had the opportunity to witnesses Ganga Aarti and do Ganga Snana. Here you have learned priests who do all the rituals at various Ghats .It was a really wonderful experience.It is suggested to donate alms for the poor at Kashi based on your capacity. Hence please bring food, biscuits etc while doing the pilgrimage

Everyone should go and experience it... It's better to go half an hour before and grab or buy a place to sit in front on boat..... It was a truly unique once in a lifetime thing .
