MINTO ROAD PUJA SAMITY

In 1912 with shifting of capital from Calcutta, a portion of the Government of India Press from Calcutta was moved to Timarpur, Delhi. In 1923, the Delhi Press was separated from its head office in Calcutta and made an entirely independent press. In 1931 the press was moved to a newly constructed building at Minto Road, New Delhi. In 1941, an older press in Timarpur was also relocated to Minto Road. These employees, who were mostly Bengali government workers, and had initiated the Durga Puja tradition in Timarpur started Durga Puja here in 1941.

Divine Goddess Durga's Puja happens here. And there is a Goddess Kali's temple too. It's supposed to be very special and worth a visit too. A must visit during Durga Puja festivals.

I visited last year here near to government quarters of Minto road . One of the oldest one pandal of Delhi . Well organised and heartwarming event coverd by artists . Nearest metro Rajiv chowk gate 3 exit. Reached by walking. Other locations bt ITO metro gate no. 2. 6th and 7th Navratri celebration is centre of attraction ....❤️❤️🕉️🕉️💐💯💯☺️☺️

One of the best Durga Pooja I witnessed this year 2022. Well managed and well organised. Goddess idols were made of sand, felt blessed and astonished to see the craftsmanship there. Ample food stalls for foodies to tickle taste buds at way higher prices.
