The Yogeshwari Temple is one of the most revered Hindu temples in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. Located in the historic town of Ambajogai, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Yogeshwari, a powerful form of the Divine Mother and an incarnation of Parvati, the consort of Shiva. Devotees worship the goddess as a protector who grants strength, courage, and prosperity. The temple is believed to have been built during the medieval period and displays traditional Hemadpanthi architectural style, which uses large stone blocks fitted together without mortar. The structure includes a spacious courtyard, stone pillars, and intricately carved sculptures depicting various mythological themes. The sanctum houses the sacred idol of Goddess Yogeshwari, which attracts thousands of devotees every year. According to local legends, Yogeshwari was once destined to marry Lord Vaidyanath of Parli Vaidyanath Temple, one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. However, due to a delay in the wedding rituals, the marriage did not take place, and the goddess remained in Ambajogai. The temple becomes especially vibrant during festivals such as Navaratri, when special prayers, cultural programs, and large gatherings of devotees take place. Today, Yogeshwari Temple stands as an important spiritual and cultural landmark, symbolizing faith and devotion in the region.
This time of the year was peaceful and we could perform Abhishek leisurely. I could not though secure a room at Chitale Nyas. Surprise! Raj hotel on the Mondha Road, next to Bus Stand, more than made up on a pleasant stay. Try and avoid week ends for visits.
This Temple is Best to visit in any weather conditions. As of now in the month of June there was no rush. The Temple's Aura felt Amazing. Also the Road Condition to get here via Shiradhon, Latur is the Best. Plus you don't need any special entry tickets as the Temple is less crowded. That's the reason for getting Darshan in Less than 30 minutes
Very pious historic place of worship, temple of Adishakti Mata Yogeshwari. Godess Ambejogai is Kuladevata of many Koknastha Brahmins including us. We humbly offer our prayers at her lotus feet and seek blessings of Mata Yogeshwari.

Her most prominent temple is situated in the town of Ambejogai in Beed district of Maharashtra. Other prominent temples are Jogeshwari Mandir in Pune, where she is revered as the Gramadevi or the protector diety of the city.
