We recently exchanged earrings at Malabar Khammam. They said that to determine the actual gold weight, the stones must be removed and the ornaments melted. After melting, the weight of the gold decreases, and the purity may also reduce. The initial purity test showed 22k, but after removing the stones and melting the ornaments, they reported the purity as 21k. How can removing impurities from ornaments reduce the purity of gold? They test the gold in front of you, but they don’t show you the results. That’s the beauty of Malabar. I thought Malabar wouldn’t play tricks like the small street jewelry shops, but instead, they cheat you in a nice air-conditioned store with sweet words and a high-fi setup. Kudos to Malabar 👏
