Malabar Gold and Diamonds - Kukatpally - Hyderabad

Today I purchased a silver chain locket from Malabar. The design is very good and quality is excellent. Staff were very polite and helped me choose the best one. Overall, a very good shopping experience. Highly recommended..!

I have always had a disappointing experience purchasing from Malabar. Last year, my mom bought me a bracelet and emerald ring after the staff assured her the bracelet was suitable for everyday use. The model of this bracelet is generally a braid of few chains and a small gold beads in between each twists. By the look, it seems heavy. My mother has eyesight issues so probably she couldn’t check it properly before she brought and she trusted Malabar staff. My mother has sent it to Australia through my husband as my birthday gift, and he dint get time to open and check. After I have received it from my husband, within an hour of wearing it, I have noticed that one of the chain link was broke and risk of small gold beads falling off. When we took it back to India after a year, the staff checked and defended that the bracelet was not for everyday use 🤣 (I just wore it for an hour though). The emerald ring also was not going that great either. We thought to exchange the broken bracelet but noticed that the making charges were also very high, and the designs didn’t feel worth exchanging for. We finally exchanged it at another reputed jewellery store that had better collections and even offered 40% off on making charges.

From start to finish, the experience was seamless and truly enjoyable, thanks to your incredible team. I was particularly impressed with the immense patience and dedication shown by the staff. They took the time to display a wide variety of ornaments, ensuring I could find the perfect piece without feeling rushed. Their willingness to explain every detail, from the specifics of the billing process to the quality and craftsmanship of the jewelry, was incredibly helpful and reassuring. What stood out the most was the support I received through the video call. I had an excellent experience with Srinath (goldsmith). My wife's sutram was broken and was informed that it will be sent to factory in other branches but Srinath repaired it with his excellence. He was very polite and helpful Really impressed and thankful for his service.

Very disappointing experience today. March 14 2026 A few weeks ago we purchased a good amount of gold from your store. One of the items had a minor defect, so we came back today to get it repaired. While my wife was taking her time browsing on the 3rd and 4th floors, I was simply sitting and waiting which, surprisingly, seems to be a strange concept for your staff. Twice your staff came up to me and asked, "Sir, are you purchasing something?" Maybe this is something your team isn’t aware of, but in jewelry stores women usually take their time choosing what they want. And the men who accompany them often just sit and wait. Apparently sitting quietly while someone from your family shops is suspicious behavior in your store. Instead of making customers feel comfortable, your staff made the experience awkward and irritating. If someone is clearly waiting while their partner is shopping, repeatedly questioning them shows a complete lack of basic customer awareness. After spending a significant amount of money at your store, this is definitely not the kind of treatment I expected. Honestly, I regret buying gold from your shop, and I can confidently say this will be the last time I choose your store.

I really happy about the service. Srinadha was friendly and did the work within no time. Absolutely recommend to anyone. The quality of service is absolutely great.
