Beware of Fraud – Horrible Experience with Betterhalf / The Wedding Company I had a terrible experience with Betterhalf Private Limited / The Wedding Company. I made an advance payment of ₹24,999 on August 20, 2024, for their wedding planning services. They clearly stated that this amount was fully refundable or adjustable against the final vendor bill. However, after taking the payment, they completely stopped responding to my messages and calls. Despite multiple follow-ups over several months, I received zero support or services from them. When I finally escalated the matter, they outright denied the refund, going against their own promises. This is not just unprofessional but misleading and fraudulent business behavior. I have now filed a formal grievance (No. 6790291) with the authorities. Even after official intervention, they remain unresponsive. Attaching screenshots as proof that they ignore messages and refuse to honor their commitments. Avoid this company at all costs if you don’t want to waste your time and money.

1. Gap between commitments made initially and output delivered 2. Forgot few critical elements on day of wedding (Bridal entry floral canopy, speaker system). Inconsistent ownership - sometimes quite high that you could leave everything to them, sometimes too low leading to misses. Bottom-line - Would not recommend going ahead with them, unless you want to have a constant headache managing them.

This company is useless for those who are planning to take their services. It can be a nightmare and bad experience for them. I hired this company for my daughter marriage. I booked farm house through them 6 months before which was cancelled by farm owners two times before 2 week of marriage.Alternative marriage venue were very bad and remote while money paid was same. Caterer and decorator was recommended by them was mean, greedy, threatening and rude behaviour. He took all money before marriage which was given through this company including tips. He provided bad and dirty furniture even sofa provided to groom and bride were dirty and torn. He did not provide snacks and dinner in time. When I complained, he threatened to leave the place with their staff. Most of the guests were not served snacks and dinner. We were felt very insulted. Whenever I complained with staff of betterhalf, they always supported caterer and decorator. So I urge people don't take service of betterhalf. Otherwise they will spoil the function. Beware of this company.

I had used their service for my sister's wedding, we did a destination wedding in Goa which was beautifully orchestrated and the team made sure that every guest was attended to their needs and had a pleasant wedding with amazing memories.

Its a big scam. I have read plenty of reviews about this company on google and app store. All the recent review says that they are doing a scam. I am wondering how they have got 4 stars rating. I am sure even these ratings are fake. What a waste this company is. They are simply robbing your hard earned money. All the profiles that they show are fake. You will not get any response from anybody. Don’t get trapped. You will get many matches and request until you pay but once you pay, you will not get any match.

I purchased a premium plan for Betterhalf, expecting a seamless experience, but here’s what I encountered: 1. Customer Support: I reported an incorrect location on my profile. According to Betterhalf, they use IP detection for location tracking. However, my location was incorrectly displayed as Hyderabad, Tamil Nadu (which doesn’t even exist as a state-city combination). Initially, customer support couldn’t understand what was wrong. After exchanging multiple emails over three months, they finally managed to fix it—an unacceptable delay for a paid service. 2. Matches: With a premium plan, I could send requests and view all received requests. However, if the person I sent a request to didn't have a premium plan, my request would remain unseen indefinitely. To have my request prioritized, I was prompted to pay again, despite already being a premium user. The same profiles keep appearing repeatedly, even after marking them as "Not Interested" or sending a request. After a while, sent requests simply disappear without any indication of whether the person declined or deleted their profile. This raises serious doubts about Betterhalf’s claim of using AI for matchmaking. 3. Deleting Your Profile [VVIP]: Betterhalf claims that user profiles will be deleted within seven days. However, unlike other platforms where deletion happens instantly, they retain user data for a week without providing a valid reason. The catch? Even after seven days, your profile remains active, meaning your data is still accessible without your consent. This suggests that many profiles displayed as "potential matches" might actually be deleted accounts. This could explain why the platform does not show activity history for any profiles. 4. Fake Profiles: The platform has numerous fake profiles with inconsistent basic information. I personally reported several, but given my experience with their support, I doubt any action was taken. This further confirms my suspicion that Betterhalf lacks proper verification measures. Final Verdict: Betterhalf’s premium service is riddled with issues—poor customer support, ineffective matchmaking, delayed profile deletion, and a high number of fake profiles. I would not recommend it.
